Denice has experience in developing and implementing effective weight, fitness, cafeteria, and health campaigns using technology-based platforms. Her programs have reached tens of thousands of employees. She loves the challenge of helping launch new community-focused programs that help people to improve their health.
Denice, as the first director of Villanova’s College of Nursing’s MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education, created interdisciplinary weight management webinars and workshops. She developed interdisciplinary workshop and webinars to educate other health professionals on the many barriers of weight management.
As the first program manager for Health Starts in the Kitchen at Cedar Crest College, Denice created a network to provide nutrition education and cooking skills to the community. Her leadership and creativity established the program by involving dietetic students in demonstrations and providing classes for cancer survivors, high school students, retirees, as well as workshops for dietitians, food and consumer science teachers, nurses and many others in the community.
